Adam Michael has this to say “This material exudes an aroma that is incredibly feminine throughout with notes reminiscent of freesia flowers and white linens drying on the washing line. One big advantage of this material compared with the standard magnolia flower oil is that the overly sweet notes found within the heart notes of the regular oil are not present in this material.
This material is produced by fractionation of the Michelia alba essential oil – of which is produced by steam distilling the leaves. The essential oil is effectively broken up into pieces so to speak and the more floral notes are blended back together which result in this natural material. This is definitely one for perfumers creating compositions of a floral nature and those wanting to add a fresh floral fruity green note into their creations.”
